Lansallos is a terrific place for walkers, and is well known as a top beauty spot. The actual village of Lansallos is very tiny, with only a few old cottages, but very scenic. Below, we show the main walk down the sunken lane to the beach and the coastal footpaths leading from the beach.

Lansallos. A real
walkers paradise. Start the walk from the old Church which is just
a few 100 yards from the holiday cottages. By the church (1)
& (2) you will see the entrance to a pretty, sunken footpath
(3) & (4). Continue along the footpath. There are other
footpaths leading from the main footpath but carry on
down to the gate (5) which is right at the end of the footpath. Go
through the gate and the field and Lansallos beach will be in front
of you. One of the entrances to the beach is obscured
but will be on your left. The other part of the beach will be on
your right, the access being next to the pretty little waterfall (6). Facing
the sea, take the uphill footpath (7) on your right (the Cornwall coastal
path). Walk along the coastal footpath for about forty minutes (8)
to the small sandy beach at Atlantic Bay. The beach is also accessible
by road, with a car park, so you can be fetched by car at the end of your
walk! You can also walk for 3 miles in the opposite direction
along the coastal path to Polperro.
