Lansallos is a terrific place for
walkers, and is well known as a top beauty spot. The actual village
of Lansallos is very tiny, with only a few old cottages, but very scenic.
Below, we show the main walk down the sunken lane to the beach and the
coastal footpaths leading from the beach.

Lansallos. Lansallos really is a walkers paradise. The holiday cottages are only a few hundred yards from the old village church. Next to the old church (1) is a sunken footpath (2). Continue down this pretty lane. Footpaths are leading off from the lane but proceed down to the gate (3) at the bottom of the lane. Proceed through the gate and the field and West Combe beach will be in front of you. Note that there are 2 entrances to this sandy beach. One entrance (to the main part of the beach ) is obscured but will be on your left. The other part of the beach will be on your right, the access being next to the pretty little waterfall (4). Facing the sea, take the uphill footpath (5) on your right (the Cornwall coast path). Proceed for approx 40 minutes along the good coastal walk (6) to the small sandy beach at Lantic Bay.This beach is also accessible by road, with a car park, so you can be fetched by car at the end of your walk! Try walking the 3 miles in the opposite direction along the coastal path to Polperro.
